If so, the new colours by Adam Bray (who is as much a conjurer of atmosphere as he is a designer) for Papers & Paints may very well be the solution. 303 (middle row, far right) is the perfect shade of yellow.

I'm loving the saddle brown~ish color...bottom row, third from left. And the blue/green above it.
Sometimes I get a little overly focused.
Jill - having a front door done in that red, it's called Selah. Which is an old Hebrew word that means, depending on interpretation, forever.
